About the asset
Gross production was approximately 7,200 barrels per day in 2024, equal to 2.6 million barrels for the year. In 2024, field uptime was 78%, including scheduled downtime.
The field’s five subsea wells produce from Campanian- and Maastrichtian-aged reservoirs tied to the FPSO, which has a storage capacity of 1.6 million barrels of oil. Production started in 2007 with crude oil offloaded to shuttle tankers, while gas can be transported by pipeline to or from shore through the Cacimbas Gas Treatment Unit.
Gross reserves are 42.0 million barrels of oil equivalent based on third-party estimates. These reserves are predominately oil, of which 28.3 million barrels of oil equivalent are developed, and 13.7 million barrels of oil equivalent are undeveloped infill opportunities.
In 2025, BW Energy commenced the Golfinho Boost project to replace current gaslift with ESPs in multiple wells to increase production and regularity from 2027.
