Niosi and Guduma

In October 2024, BW Energy became the operator for the Niosi and Guduma Marin licences adjacent to the Dussafu Marin licence. The acquisition represents a strategic expansion for infrastructure-led exploration to accelerate growth.

The licences have a eight- and six-year exploration period, respectively, with option to extend for two additional years. The joint venture has committed to drilling one well on Niosi Marin during the exploration period and geological and geophysical studies in the Guduma licence area.

The Niosi Marin block licence are covers 2,989 km2 with water depth of 20-500 meters, and the Gudama Marin block is 1,929 km2 with water depth of 20-200 meters.

The partnership have agreed to a 3D seismic acquisition campaign over both areas. This is currently underway and will be completed in early 2026.
