Our path to Energy Transition
The company’s strategy focuses on efficient field developments that support the energy transition.
This is reflected in a solutions-driven approach, including the repurposing of existing field infrastructure, which significantly reduces investment costs and lowers greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions compared to new production assets.
As part of its sustainability considerations, BW Energy remains open to selective gas development opportunities where these complement the company’s core oil-focused portfolio. The company may pursue both greenfield and brownfield gas projects where existing infrastructure, resource quality, and commercial terms support value creation. In brownfield settings, this may include acquiring assets with existing oil production and, where appropriate, transitioning them into long-term gas developments.
